Sexy, Chic, Comfortable, LEGGINGS!!

What gal dosen't like to feel sexy and comfortable at the same time. That's why I'm so glad that leggings are back! I LOVED them the first time around but this time they are going places they've never gone before! As you can see from the above pictures, leggings can go from casual to an evening out. Shiny leggings add an air of sexiness while adding a hip edgy feel to your look. They are perfect for a night out with the girls. I just bought my first pair of shiny leggings and I promise I post my own personal version of shiny leggings on Monday!

Leggings can also be casual while chic at the same time. Adding a sweater, tunic or printed tee shirt and a cute pair of boots can equal style and comfort all at the same time. Leggings can also be ramped up for a more dressy feel. Adding a dressy tunic or shirt with a dressy sandal is all you need to dress up your leggings. I would reccomend black as the best color to try and dress up. Black will be the most slimming and the easiest color to pull of a dressy look with.

I personally feel that after a certain age ( lets say any one above 19) any top worn with leggings should hit mid hip at the minimum. Tops should go from mid hip to a little above the knee. Also make sure that the fabric is not sheer and is nice and supportive. You want your leggings to have a snug, smooth and firm fit without being too tight. You don't want them to be loose or saggy either. Now, get busy finding your own way to work your leggings. So, go on, get in that closet and find a sexy, cool and chic look, all your own!

Mc Q For Target!!!!

I just had to share this with you ladies! I was reading over on BlackPearl where I saw some of McG for Target line. Here are a few pieces. I just love everything about this line! It's trendy, chic, sexy and comfortable all at the same time! . These looks can transition from "lunch with the ladies" to" girls night out" in a flash. The edgy yet feminine styling creates looks that are as versatile as they are chic. This line looks very, very promising and I am really anticipating it's arrival! Which is March 1, 2009. I know where I'll be on March 1, 2009 at 10:00 am!!!!

Know Your Body!

I know I am supposed to be shopping my closet (and I AM) but these were to cute and cheap to resist ( I found them at http://www.fanclothing.com/ ). If you guys can't already tell I LOVE unique pieces. I like for my clothes to be sensual and comfortable at the same time. I want my clothes that reflect who I am and that's what drew me to these pieces. They are sooooo me!
If there's one thing I can say I appreciate about getting older it's that I have a much better sense of "my style" than when I was younger! Learning what works for my body and lifestyle was essential to me finding my own "personal" style. Learning to understand my body and what looks best on me has given me great confidence. I have found http://www.myshape.com/ to be really helpful. This site can not only help you figure out your body type but also can help with detemining which types of clothing best suit your body type.

Figuring out your body type is the first step in finding that FABULOUS YOU! So let's get started. Be BOLD and take the first step to building a wardrobe that is UNIQUELY YOU.

OKAY!! I Cheated!

Okay, okay I know I said that I would be shopping my closet but here are two pieces I COULD NOT resist! As you all can probably tell, I love slouch slightly form fitting and sensual clothing. So, I couldn't help myself when I saw these two pieces at one of my favorite online stores http://www.pinkice.com/. With the slouchy and drapey looks coming in for spring I just had to add a few pieces to my wardrobe. Not to metion the fact that they can be worn in warmer or colder weather with a few adjustments. And and these prices, who could resist?
I plan on wearing both as tunics and dresses depending on the weather. The mauve tunic I plan on wearing with a turtleneck or long sleeve shirt initially. I'll likely pair it with some skinny jeans, leggings or tights. To finish the look off I'll either pair it with a knee or ankle boot. Don't you just LOVE how comfy yet sexy it is at the same time?

The grey hoodie has so many options. I just love how unique it is! I can just see it with an textured pair of tights and ankle boot. Or how about animal print leggings and a over the knee boot? If I chose to pair it with jeans they'd have to be super skinny because of how full the hips are. Maybe I'll put a belt in the waist. Anyway I work this top it is sure to be super chic! Looking and feeling feminine, sexy and sensual while being comfortable at the same time used to be quite a challenge but with these new sexy flowing silhouettes it's a breeze!

Layering

Don't you just love layering? But learning to mix patterns and texture can take a little practice. First of all I had to find my own personal comfort zone. I do believe in stretching my limits but I find I must still feel relatively comfortable in what I am wearing. In this picture I mixed a black lace shirt with a floral sweater. Even though the shirt is lace by it being black it is still somewhat basic. The floral sweater added just the right amount of pizazz. Try it for yourself. Get in your closet, mix and match some pieces that don't necessarily "match". Look for colors that compliment each other in different patterns and experiment with different textures. See what you come up with. You just might like it!

I have committed to shopping my closet for the next month. So I will be getting real creative with what I already have. Who wants to join me!!!!!!!!

How to Rock Your Jeans

Here on the east coast it's been pretty cold and that means it's time to bundle up. But bundling up doesn't mean we have to look frumpy. It just means that we have to get creative. How can we do this, you ask, it's simple. Jeans. That's right jeans can be really warm (especially with a pair of long johns underneath) and chic at the same time. All you have to do is add a few essentials to glam them up. Try a pair of skinny jeans tucked in a pair of knee high boots or how about a pair of wide legs with a cozy turtleneck or sweater and a cute leather jacket. Remember to add a pretty scarf or a bright pair of gloves and a warm winter coat or wrap to keep you warm. Also, you don't have to stick with blue denim, grey, black and even red can add a different look or add that extra pop of color to a cold winter day. Now get out there and experiment! See how incredibly fab and warm you can be at the same time.
